Zilfi studied health sciences. She has experience with interviewing elderly people in care institutions and worked part-time as a care help at Fokus wonen. In her spare time Zilfi informs people about health, healthy behaviour and nutrition. She hopes to start a business in this branch in later life.
At Leyden Academy, Zilfi has been part of the culture-sensitive care research team since February 2021, which is carries out together with Amsta, Amstelring and Cordaan. During this qualitative research, we will discuss their future care needs with the elderly and their loved ones and we will look at how employees and the practice can meet these needs. Zilfi will mainly focus on conducting interviews and observations. Zilfi knows from her own experience, from her great-grandmother, that a stay in a care institution is not always experienced as suitable or pleasant.
