Evelien Kelfkens

Evelien studied health sciences at Wageningen University. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in 2015, after which she completed her master’s degree in ‘Communication, Health & Life Sciences’ in 2020. During her studies, she has conducted research into discourses on complementary/alternative medicine and mainstream medicine used in scientific journals. Furthermore, she conducted research into housing solutions for vulnerable residents in the Gelderse Vallei region (in the Netherlands).

Since July 2021, Evelien has strengthened the team at Leyden Academy as a junior researcher. She is involved in various projects, including Zomervisite, Danstalenten and the study ‘Re-entry students, lateral entrants and experienced employees and volunteers in elderly care’.
