In 2013, the municipality of Leiden established the ‘Leidse Proeftuin Zorg & Welzijn’ (Leiden pilot environment for health and well-being). In this pilot environment, knowledge institutes Hogeschool Leiden, TNO, Leiden Institute for Brain and Cognition and Leyden Academy focus on promoting care and well-being in Leiden. The focus of Leyden Academy is on vitality coaching. In this context, other local care organizations in Leiden are invited to contribute to implementing an instrument to measure and improve an older person’s vitality.
