Antoinette has been collaborating closely with Leyden Academy since 2016. She is currently a member of Joris Slaets’ project team commissioned by the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) to develop a narrative quality framework for long-term care. In this context, over the next two years, she will participate in experiments and investigations in ten care organizations in the Netherlands.
Antoinette is responsible for the qualitative research in the project Leefplezierplan voor de Zorg (lust for life plan in health care) and will be talking to executives and managers, looking for upgrading and obstructed factors in order to assure a narrative approach to care.
In addition to her appointment at Leyden Academy Antoinette also works on other projects in care and welfare.
Antoinette was previously affiliated with the University of Amsterdam where she worked as a senior researcher and trigger of projects in the elderly and the disabled sector. After her studies, she took a postgraduate course for the journalism history. Which brought her as a correspondent in France and then as a reporter in the care sector at NRC Handelsblad.
