Antoinette has been collaborating closely with Leyden Academy since 2016. She is currently a member of Joris Slaets’ project team commissioned by the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) to develop a narrative quality framework for long-term care. In this context, over the next two years, she will participate in experiments and investigations in ten care organizations in the Netherlands. In addition to this, Antoinette is involved in the editorial reorientation of the Nederlands Tijdschrift voor Geneeskunde, a Dutch weekly journal of medicine.
Antoinette majored in history and attained a postgraduate in journalism. This brought her as a correspondent to France and as a reporter on the public health care sector to NRC Handelsblad. Later she held a post as senior researcher at the University of Amsterdam and as a project manager in the long-term care sector. Antoinette publishes regularly on subjects pertaining to her current field of work and interest in scientific journals and news media.
