On 1 August 2017 Dr Anne Annink extended the scientific team of Leyden Academy, were she researches the well-being, values, and aspirations of older people. Her research activities include the implementation of the Life And Vitality Assessment (LAVA). This tool provides insights into what older individuals find important in their lives and how they perceive their own well-being. Based upon these insights, goals can be defined to improve ones quality of life.
Anne studied General Social Sciences (Bachelor) and governance (Research Master) at the University of Utrecht. After her graduation, Anne received a Research Talent Grant of NWO for her PhD research on the work-life balance of independent entrepreneurs in Europe. Anne writes articles for magazines and facilitates work-life balance workshops for entrepreneurs and PhD-students at various universities.
