Medical congres Indonesia:
holistic approaches for palliative care
End of July the Asian Medical Students Association (AMSA) organised their 31st conference on geriatrics and holistic approaches for palliative care. The conference took place in the city of Jakarta, Indonesia.

The Leyden Academy on Vitality and Ageing was invited to present one of the key lectures during this conference. Academy staff members David van Bodegom and Frouke Engelaer traveled to Indonesia to share ideas about health and ageing. During the opening ceremony the Indonesian minister of Health, Endang Rahayu Sedyaninsih, talked about present and future health challenges in Indonesia.
An audience of 600 attended the Leyden Academy’s presentation “Ageing and palliative care; the need for a holistic approach” , followed by a vividly discussion on this topic.
